Livetreaming Tuesday's Volleyball Game

This upcoming Tuesday during the JH and Varsity Volleyball games against the Anderson Angels  we are going to test the capabilities of live streaming the games. The livestreaming will start around 5:00pm on Tuesday with the Junior High then continue through the Varsity contest at 6:30pm.

To access the stream go to the ICA homepage and click the media tab at the top of the page and then click livestream. Hopefully this will allow those who can't make it to the games to be able to watch the Whirlwinds. 


Soccer Team wins 5-3

Monday, September 29 (Anderson, IN) -- The soccer team competed against Highland in their second match of the season. The first match was closely contested with the Whirlwinds scoring the winning goal in the late stages to win 6-5. Monday's contest was closely fought as well. The team was led by Devin Wittkamper with 4 goals and Nelson Escalante added another goal to push the Whirlwinds past the Highland Scots 5-3. The next soccer game is our Homecoming game on October 10.

Soccer Team Wins Tight Contest Against Highland

Congratulations to the boys soccer team who defeated Highland 6-5 in a tightly contested match. The Whirlwinds shot out to a 3-0 lead, but Highland fought back to make it 3-2 at halftime. The Whirlwinds opened the 2nd half with 2 goals in the first seven minutes to make it 5-2. Highland again answered with 3 goals knotting the game at 5 apiece. In the 74th minute, a long throw in lead to the game winning deflection. The Whirlwinds were led by Devin Wittkamper with 3 goals, Nelson Escalante with 2 goals and Sam Dollens with a goal. The team travels to Heritage Hall next Tuesday to take on the conference leading Patriots. 

Crowd Spurs Girlwinds To Win Against Tough Conference Foe

After losing a difficult match against Suburban Baptist at their place, the Girlwinds were seeking to show the Crusaders how they could really play. The team got off to a hot start behind a strong team serving effort and solid passing. ICA won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-16. But, as tough opponents often do, the Crusaders, ranked 3rd in the conference, fought back and won the next two sets 25-12 and 25-22. The match came to the pivotal game 5 with the momentum in Suburban's favor. The Girlwinds, determined to defend their home court, came out with purpose and won the 5th game 15-12. The crowd enjoyed the game and their cheering helped to spur on the team to this conference upset. Don't miss our next home volleyball game on October 7th against the Homeschool Angels.
