The Whirlwind volleyball team is seeded fourth in their state tournament that continues on Friday. The Lady ‘Winds will play Crosspointe at 10:30 am, Tabernacle at 1:30 pm, and First Baptist of Mishawaka at 2:30. These games will be held at the Baptist Academy Gymnasium. If the team is one of the top two teams in their pool on Friday, they will move on to the semi-finals on Saturday morning at Baptist Academy. The winners of the two semi-final games will play in the championship match at 1:30 pm on Saturday. The Whirlwinds finished one and one in pool play this past Monday.
The boys soccer team was seeded sixth in their state tournament. They competed Tuesday night in the first round games of the tournament. The game was against Community Baptist of South Bend. The boys played hard but ended up losing to the Cougars six to two. The Whirlwind soccer team finished 3-7-1.
We are proud of both teams and look forward to the remainder of the girls season. Go ‘Winds!
